Welcome to Zenful Well-being! I'm Faatimah, a dedicated therapist committed to supporting you on your path to healing and personal growth.
With a background in psychology, I studied the intricacies of the human mind and the complexities of human behavior during my university years. It was there that my passion for understanding and helping others truly took root.
Before becoming a therapist, I embarked on an exciting and fulfilling career in the culinary world. As a chef in a management role, I had the privilege of overseeing talented individuals in the kitchen. It was during this time that I discovered a deep passion for assisting chefs with both their personal and professional challenges.
While managing chefs, I realized the immense impact that personal issues can have on one's overall well-being and job performance. Witnessing this firsthand ignited a desire within me to provide support beyond the confines of the kitchen. I wanted to help chefs navigate the unique blend of personal and professional struggles they face.
This realization was the catalyst for my decision to pursue a career in counselling. I recognized the power of genuine connection, empathy, and non-judgmental support in helping individuals overcome personal obstacles and find fulfilment in all areas of life.
However, my journey towards becoming a therapist wasn't solely driven by academic or professional pursuits. I also faced my own battles with anxiety and depression. These personal struggles provided me with a profound understanding of the challenges one can encounter on their journey towards mental well-being.
Recognizing the transformative power of therapy first-hand, I sought professional help and embarked on my own therapeutic journey. Through this process, I discovered the bravery and courage necessary to step out of my comfort zone and pursue a new career dedicated to supporting others.
Drawing from my own experiences, as well as my academic background, I approach therapy with empathy, compassion, and a deep belief in the potential for growth and change. I understand the importance of creating a safe and nurturing space where you can explore your thoughts, feelings, and experiences openly and without judgment.
